Mary Ann Shadd's Motivations:
Mary ann Shadd was a very determined lady who was willing to do anything to reach her goal or to stand up for what she believed in.
When Mary Ann Shadd was younger she would consistantly journey with her father. Since he was a under ground railroad worker she was able to experiance and see alot that most children her age don't. She saw all of the tormented and hurt slaves who were trying to take shelter in a safe environment. Mary ann sahdd was greatly moved by her experiances with the underground railroad which prevoked her to stand up for slavery and fight against it. If it was not for Mary Ann Shadd Canada would not be as developed and molded into the nation it is now.
